Want some help getting to know the awesome
Sylenth 1 synth? This course takes you from
the very
beginning right through to more advanced sound
design, explaining all of the synthesizing technology
and features included in this incredible, cutting-
edge instrument. The course delves into all the main
stages of subtractive synthesis, covering the
oscillators, filters, modulators and effects. The final
three modules are then spent showing some
different types of patch creation, combining all of
the techniques into some useful, practical examples
to help students put everything into context.
The course is presented in a series of online videos,
with accompanying written notes and synth presets
to work to, as well as more than £25 worth of
additional presets supplied by our sponsor
Loopmasters. Don't miss out on this essential guide
to synthesis and sound design for one of the most

Besides knowing his way round a synthesiser Dom Kane is a really well spoken guy, which makes it easier when the learning starts.
All in all you really can't go wrong with this tutorial. Dom Kane does a great job of teach you the ins and out of Sylenth1 and I really hope to see him doing more in the future, maybe some full blown House productions or even more sound design and synth tutorials. Either way if you're wanting to learn Sylenth1 or just simply learn a bit more about Subtractive Synthesis this will be the best £35 you spend this year.
I give this course a very respectable 4/5*
The course is fairly short but moves at a fast pace so to a complete beginner it is worth spending a bit of time on each session revisiting until you begin to feel comfortable with what everything does.
Not only is the course a walk through of what the instrument does but demonstrates the power & capability of the sylenth with some practical examples.
And i am happy to say it has given me more confidence & better results as I always seemed to shy away from DETUNING OSCILLATORS but the results are a new found creative tool in my sound design.
