This Massive course by Synth Courses was just what I needed to fully understand this seemingly overwhelming synth and begin applying it to my productions immediately.
The course discusses everything from synth interface and basic sound design principles to advanced uses of the synth. I now have a clear understanding of Massive's routing system and many modulation options, something I never understood at the level explained.
Rob, the course tutor, proves an expert in the synth and provides an excellent course that is easy to understand and very helpful. There is not a wasted moment and you will truly learn EVERY aspect of this synth.
If you're a serious producer looking to use Massive in your everyday productions at its full potential, this course is an ideal investment.
This course wins my 5 star rating easily. I have browsed and bought quite a few Massive Tutorials. This one took the cake. I was blown away at the last chapter - you need to experience it. I had to stop and take it in... There is a lot you can do with this soft synth.
I was also inspired to go out and create "non-abrasive" sounds. The sine tone on Massive sounds good - if I am to be believed when I say one sine tone sounds better than another. Massive is fatter.
Back in the day, I once fed a JX-3P through a Rat Fuzz box and noticed that the result was pleasing. But I also felt that I was doing something "illegal". Thanks to Rob's tutorial, I now know that you can run your synth through two fuzz boxes in serial.
This is exactly what I would expect from Rob Jones. Each module is explained in a lot of detail & in a manner which helps you understand its functionality & the processes behind creating from the simple, to an over all sound, you want to create.
Massive can be a complex instrument and the content provided demystifies this... with lots of helpful tips along the way for the types of sounds most commonly used in music production & how best to use them.
Thanks Rob for saving me the trouble of reading the manual ;)
